New Delhi (Nov 12): Security agencies strongly suspect the involvement of Pakistan-based terrorist organizations in the recent car bomb blast in Delhi. Following indications that the blast was an act of terrorism, the Union Home Ministry on Tuesday handed over the investigation of the incident to the NIA (National Investigation Agency).

Following the central directive, the NIA immediately formed a special team dedicated to the Delhi blast and has already commenced its investigation. Forensic teams have also identified key traces related to the explosives used in the blast.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, upon his return from his Bhutan visit on Wednesday, is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting with the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS).

During this meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present complete details of the Delhi blast to the Prime Minister. Further official information regarding the explosives is expected to be released after the meeting.

Security agencies are thoroughly investigating potential connections between this blast and other recent incidents:

• The discovery of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) threat posters in Srinagar in October.

• A technical glitch reported in an aircraft in Delhi.

• The seizure of explosives in Faridabad.

In light of the CCS meeting and the seriousness of the incident, the entire Line of Control (LOC) and the Pakistan border areas have been placed on high alert. Home Minister Amit Shah conducted two high-level security review meetings on Tuesday, directing officials to identify every perpetrator involved in the act and take strict action.
