Sattva Group’s Ashwin Sacheti Arrested: Accused of Creating Forged Documents for 10 Acres of Land Worth Thousands of Crores

In connection with a multi-crore land grabbing case in the city, the Anekal police have taken Ashwin Sacheti, a key individual from the Sattva Group, into custody for questioning.

Bengaluru: In connection with a multi-crore land grabbing case in the city, the Anekal police have taken Ashwin Sacheti, a key individual from the Sattva Group, into custody for questioning. He faces a serious accusation of attempting to usurp approximately 10 acres of land by creating forged documents.

How Were Forged Documents Created?

Realizing that the land had been vacant since 1976, three separate groups conspired to grab the property. It is alleged that since 2022, the accused created various forged documents and submitted them to the court. Based on these fake documents, the accused reportedly managed to get the land's Khata (revenue record) transferred to their names through the court.

Injustice to the Original Owner:

The land was originally purchased by the couple Krishnan and Radha from the original owner Muddappa in 1978. After Krishnan passed away in 1986, and as the couple had no children, Radha returned to her native place in Tamil Nadu. Following Krishnan's death, the land's Khata was transferred to Radha's name through Pouthi Khata (inheritance/mutation). When Radha returned from Tamil Nadu some time later to check on the land, she discovered that it had been usurped using forged documents.

Radha's Fight:

Realizing the land grabbing, Radha immediately filed a complaint with the Regional Commissioner, attaching the original documents against the usurpers. After reviewing the complaint, the Commissioner instructed that the land be transferred back to Radha's name according to the original records. Currently, a case has been registered against a total of 15 individuals in connection with this land grabbing case worth thousands of crores. Ashwin Sacheti, identified as the A1 accused in this case, has been taken into custody by the Anekal police for further interrogation regarding the network involved.
