₹28 Lakh Fraud in Nelamangala: Accused Used Actor Duniya Vijay's Name to Scam Public with Fake Site Allotments

The accused took money from customers under the pretext of arranging land sites, specifically showing them a supposed layout in Doddaballapur. However, they failed to deliver the sites.

Nelamangala, Bengaluru: A case of massive financial fraud has come to light where the accused allegedly cheated victims out of crores of rupees by posing as close associates of popular actor Duniya Vijay and promising to arrange land sites. A complaint has been filed against two accused, Sukanya and Narasimha.

The accused Narasimha, who previously ran Lakshmi Prasad Finance, allegedly misused several photos taken with actor Duniya Vijay. He marketed himself by claiming, "Duniya Vijay is my closest associate," to gain the trust of customers and collect money. The accused took money from customers under the pretext of arranging land sites, specifically showing them a supposed layout in Doddaballapur. However, they failed to deliver the sites. Gangaamma, a resident of Chikkasandra (under Soladevanahalli Police Station limits), was cheated out of ₹28 lakh.

It has also been revealed that several civic workers (Pourakarmikas) were similarly scammed by taking their money and not allocating any sites. After taking the money in installments, Sukanya and Narasimha reportedly stalled the allotment process.

When victims demanded their money back, the accused allegedly refused to return the funds and resorted to threatening the victims. Following the complaints, a case has been registered at the Soladevanahalli Police Station, and the police are actively searching for the accused.
