Shivamogga: K.B. Prasanna Kumar’s Birthday Celebrated with Joy and Service Activities by JDS Workers

Shivamogga, November 17: The birthday of former MLA of Shivamogga city and Karnataka JDS Vice-President Sri K.B. Prasanna Kumar was celebrated with great enthusiasm today by his admirers and JDS party workers across various wards of the city through cake-cutting, sweets distribution and multiple service initiatives.

The main event was held at the District JDS office under the leadership of City President Deepak Singh, where party workers and leaders honoured their beloved leader with a huge floral garland, fed him sweets and cut a grand cake. Shivamogga Lok Sabha MP Sri B.Y. Raghavendra draped a shawl and extended warm birthday wishes.

At Gopalagowda Layout, under the leadership of Lohith, special pooja was performed at Sri Draupadamma Devi Temple praying for the good health and long life of Sri Prasanna Kumar. Free school bags and books were distributed to government school children.

The city Youth Janata Dal team led by President Sanjay Kashyap distributed fruits to poor patients at Meggan Hospital. In Vinobanagar Lakshmipur Layout, a programme organised under the leadership of City Vice-President Dayananda Salagi was graced by the blessings of Parama Poojya Ganga Mataji of Koodala Sangama Basava Kalyana Peeta. At Harakere Shivalaya Temple, 108 tender coconut abhisheka was offered to Lord Rudra Deva with prayers for universal welfare.

Former Prime Minister Sri H.D. Deve Gowda, Union Minister and JDS State President Sri H.D. Kumaraswamy and several other political leaders cutting across party lines conveyed their heartfelt birthday greetings. Prominent JDS leaders including Kadidal Gopal, Ramakrishna, Sangayya, Thyagaraj, Mahesh, Krishna, Narasimha Gandhamane, Ramesh Nayak, Bommankatte Manjunath, Sunil Gowda, Siddesh, Govind, Suresh, Venkatesh, Chandramathi Hegde, Sharadamma, Muntaz, Renuka, Nandashree, Sanjay Kashyap, Arun Rao, Nihal, Dikshit, Muzammil and many others participated in large numbers along with hundreds of well-wishers and party workers.
