In a horrific incident, a 30-year-old woman named Pavani was strangled to death by her husband Raghavendra in Huduguru village, Gauribidanur taluk, Chikkaballapura district. The trigger? She questioned why he came to the village but didn’t come home, asking, “Were you lying drunk somewhere that you couldn’t even reach home?

”Enraged by her words, Raghavendra flew into a rage, started a violent fight, and strangled her with a towel. Pavani died on the spot. The couple had been married for five years and have a 4-year-old son. With the mother now dead and the father arrested and sent to jail, the little boy has been rendered an orphan overnight.

Police reached the spot after locals informed them. Raghavendra has been taken into custody and a murder case has been registered at Gauribidanur police station. The entire village is in deep shock.
