Bengaluru, Nov 18: A chilling bomb threat email sent to the official ID of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has triggered high alert across the city.The email, received late last night around 11:30 PM, read:

“My divorced wife is being harassed by metro staff. As revenge, I will blast one of your metro stations. I am a terrorist – and a patriot against Kannadigas.

”BMRCL authorities immediately filed an FIR at Wilson Garden police station. Cyber crime and anti-terror units have been roped in to trace the sender. Though police suspect it could be a hoax, no chances are being taken: Intensive security checks at all metro stations . Additional deployment of Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF)
