A tragic incident marred the Dubai Airshow 2025 on Friday (November 21) when an Indian Air Force (IAF) Tejas Mk-1A Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) crashed during a flight display at Al Maktoum International Airport. The crash resulted in the death of the pilot, identified as Wing Commander Namansh Sale.

The powerful indigenous fighter jet was performing a scheduled demonstration flight as part of the airshow proceedings. The incident occurred around noon, shortly after the aircraft began its display routine.

According to reports, the Tejas took off and was showcasing maneuvers when it reportedly lost control and veered towards the ground, crashing in a fiery explosion. Pilot Fatality: Wing Commander Sale was reportedly unable to eject from the aircraft and succumbed to the injuries sustained in the catastrophic crash.
