Jagdeep Dhankhar Makes First Public Address Months After Resigning as Vice President

Jagdeep Dhankhar, who had resigned from the post of Vice President in July due to health issues, has spoken publicly after nearly four months.

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who resigned from his position in July citing health reasons, made his first public appearance and delivered a speech after a gap of approximately four months.

Dhankhar was the chief guest at a book launch event in Bhopal for "Hum Aur Yeh Vishwa" (Us and This World), authored by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Joint General Secretary Manmohan Vaidya. This event marked his return to the public eye after a prolonged absence.

Praise for RSS and Cryptic Remarks -[

During his address, the former Vice President took the opportunity to commend the RSS and offer his critique on the newly released book.

He also made a cryptic statement regarding his time in office:

“I could not speak due to lack of time. It is very difficult to get out once you are trapped in a Chakravyuha [a complex military formation/trap from the Mahabharata],” he reportedly said, hinting at the constraints and complexities of his former constitutional role. The Controversy of His Resignation -

Dhankhar was elected as the Vice President in April 2022. However, his decision to step down in July of this year just one day after the commencement of the monsoon parliamentary session citing health issues, had generated significant discussion and debate in political circles.

His appearance and speech at the RSS event suggest a gradual return to public life after a period of recuperation. Also Read: Major Breakthrough in Bengaluru ATM Cash Van Robbery: Police Hunt for Key Conspirators!
