Bengaluru witnessed heavy fog on Tuesday morning, causing major disruptions at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). According to reports, at least 41 flight operations were delayed from around 5:30 AM due to poor visibility.
The state capital was covered in a thick blanket of fog early in the morning, significantly reducing visibility around the airport premises. As a result, several aircraft were unable to take off as scheduled. The weather conditions resembled early dawn darkness, making it challenging for pilots to operate during the morning hours. As of 10 AM, the temperature hovered around 20°C, with the Meteorological Department issuing a light rainfall alert. Winds were blowing at a speed of 14 km/h, accompanied by scattered clouds at altitudes of 800 feet and 1,200 feet, further affecting air traffic operations.
