Serious allegations have surfaced against Dr. Shivamurthy Murugha Sharana, the prominent head of Chitradurga's renowned Murugha Mutt.

The chargesheet has already been filed in this case, and the trial is currently underway at Chitradurga's special court. In a bid to completely quash the proceedings, Murugha Sharana has now submitted two petitions to the Karnataka High Court.

The single-judge bench of the High Court is scheduled to hear these petitions in the first week of December. Lawyers representing the state government and the complainant are expected to submit their objections regarding the quashing plea.

Currently, Murugha Sharana is out on bail and has been directed to stay away from the mutt's activities.
