Veteran actor and multi-talented personality of Kannada cinema, Sri Umesh (74), breathed his last this morning. He had been undergoing treatment for several days due to severe respiratory complications.

Thousands of fans, colleagues, and well-wishers are currently paying their respects to his mortal remains at Kidwai Hospital. After 4 PM today, the body will be taken to his residence in J.P. Nagar. His wife, Smt.

Active in Kannada cinema since the 1970s, Umesh acted in hundreds of films including memorable ones like Kallaralli Hoovagi, Akasmika, Anupama Prema, Gejje Pooje, and many more, earning immense love for his natural acting and restrained lifestyle.
