7th Accused Arrested in Connection with the Case; Drone Attack Conspiracy Revealed

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has intensified its probe into the horrific car bomb explosion that occurred near the Red Fort in Delhi on November 10 last month. The NIA conducted simultaneous raids on the hideouts of suspects in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Haryana, to trace the terrorists.

Following these raids, Soaib, a resident of Faridabad, has been arrested on charges of providing shelter to the main mastermind, suicide bomber Dr. Umar un Nabi. He is the 7th accused arrested in this case.

Key Developments and the Bombing Conspiracy:

* Drone Attack Conspiracy: During the NIA investigation, terrifying information was revealed that the terrorists had planned not only a car explosion but also a Hamas-style drone attack.

* Arrest of Key Accused: Earlier, the NIA had arrested and taken into custody for interrogation key conspirators, including Amir Rashid Ali from Jammu and Kashmir, who helped purchase the Hyundai i20 car used in the explosion, and Jaseer Bilal Wani, who provided technical assistance.

* Search for Explosives: Based on information received from the arrested individuals, an intensive search operation is underway in several areas to locate approximately 300 kg of live explosives hidden by the militants.

The suicide attack that occurred on November 10 resulted in the deaths of more than 13 people and injured over 20. The NIA, in collaboration with state police, is continuing its multi-dimensional investigation to dismantle the large network behind this act carried out in the heart of the nation's capital.
