Bengaluru: An Opposition party has launched a fierce attack, alleging that due to the work style and 'lack of interest' shown by the state's Information Technology and Biotechnology (IT-BT) Minister, Priyank Kharge, startup investment in Karnataka has witnessed a massive 40% decline.

The attack alleges that the Minister is focusing on unscheduled and irrelevant matters. The main accusations are:

Instead of focusing on his departmental duties, the Minister is accused of wasting time on 'unnecessarily meddling in subjects that do not concern him, the stubborn demand for an RSS ban, and political poking at anyone he meets.' It is alleged that he seems neither aware of his duty nor interested in the IT-BT sector in the first place. The Minister, who constantly spends time on political banter, has been labelled a 'Troll Minister' instead of an 'Active IT Minister.'

Investment Decline and State Setback

It is alleged that the state's startup ecosystem has suffered a severe setback as a direct consequence of the Minister's 'lack of interest and inactivity.' Startup investment in the state has seen a massive 40% decline due to the Minister's inaction. Karnataka and Bengaluru, which were famous as the 'Capital of Startups,' are now being forced to bow their heads before other states due to this decline.

Demand from Young Entrepreneurs

The statement emphasizes that the state's young entrepreneurs and investors need an active Minister who thinks about their future and develops the startup ecosystem, rather than a Minister who wastes time on political banter.
