Bengaluru: A rowdy-sheeter intervened in a minor altercation between a car and bike rider, threw a stone at the car, assaulted the driver, and attempted murder. The incident occurred within the limits of the Vidyaranyapura police station. Police have arrested the rowdy-sheeter, Prasad alias 'Mental Prasad,' and his accomplice, Madhusudan, in connection with the case.

Incident Details

The incident took place on November 21st at around 10:45 PM. A person named Shajumon was driving his car when it slightly touched a nearby bike. An argument erupted between the car driver and the bike rider over this contact. 'Mental Prasad,' a rowdy-sheeter, and Madhusudan, who were standing by the roadside, noticed the argument. Suddenly enraged for no apparent reason, Mental Prasad picked up a stone and threw it at the car. He then assaulted the driver, Shajumon, and attempted to murder him. Seeing the rowdy-sheeter approach, the bike rider immediately escaped from the scene.

Assault on an Individual who Tried to Help

Another person named Vinod Raval, witnessing the act of rowdyism and fearing for the victim, took out his phone to call the police immediately. Noticing this, the rowdy-sheeter, Mental Prasad, also assaulted him.

Background of 'Mental Prasad'

The accused, Prasad alias 'Mental Prasad,' has been involved in rowdy activities for the past 10 years.

He has been involved in several serious crimes, including murder, attempt to murder, and robbery, and has been incarcerated multiple times. Mental Prasad had been released from jail only a month ago, and is now back in custody after being arrested for attempted murder. The Vidyaranyapura police have arrested both Prasad and Madhusudan and are conducting further investigations.
