Bengaluru: Amid the raging storm over power-sharing in Karnataka Congress, Minister Priyank Kharge, who arrived from Delhi carrying a message from the high command, held a long, closed-door meeting lasting nearly one hour with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at the latter’s Sadashivanagar residence.

However, Priyank has kept the exact details of the talks strictly confidential while repeatedly stressing the need for party unity.
After the recent Delhi meetings of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar with Rahul Gandhi, Priyank Kharge first met CM Siddaramaiah upon reaching Bengaluru and shared the high command’s message with him. t is learnt that the talks covered removing internal differences, ensuring solidarity among MLAs, preparations for upcoming elections and other related issues.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, DK Shivakumar described Priyank Kharge’s visit as “natural” and said, “We discussed the party’s future strategies.
