Bengaluru: The crackdown against police personnel in the capital of Karnataka, Bengaluru, continues. An order has been issued to suspend a Head Constable (HC) in connection with the theft of money that occurred within the premises of the Police Commissioner's office. This action has been taken based on allegations of dereliction of duty and theft. According to information provided to the media by high-level CCB sources, Head Constable Zabihulla has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. The suspension order was issued based on a preliminary report.
Theft in the Commissioner's Office Basement!
The details of this case are even more shocking. The bag containing the stolen money was kept right inside the Police Commissioner's office premises. Police had arrested an accused in connection with a case and had seized his car. This seized car was parked directly in the basement of the Police Commissioner's office. However, Head Constable Zabihulla stole ₹11 lakh in cash that was inside this very car and fled. As soon as the incident came to light, an investigation was initiated. Based on the investigation report, the senior officials immediately ordered the suspension of Head Constable Zabihulla, who was involved in the act. The CCB is continuing its investigation into the case.
