Bengaluru: In a bizarre and mysterious incident, well-known city businessman, dancer, and owner of the famous Kargil bars chain, Rajagopal, was shot with an air gun near Krishna Rao Park in Basavanagudi.

The attack took place on the night of December 10 around 8:30 PM. While Rajagopal was near the park, unknown miscreants fired pellets from an air gun, striking him in the neck area. He sustained injuries to his neck and was immediately rushed to Bengaluru Hospital in Jayanagar for treatment. Doctors say he is now recovering and out of danger.Basavanagudi police have registered a case and launched an intense investigation.

Surprisingly, Rajagopal’s statement to the police has left investigators baffled. He told officers that he has no suspicion of any specific individual being behind the attack and had received no prior threat calls or messages. He further stated that he has absolutely no clue about the motive, the identity of the shooter, or why anyone would target him. With the background and motive still completely unclear, police have intensified the hunt for the air-gun shooter.
