There's sweet news for Bengaluru's Namma Metro passengers The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has taken a significant step to further strengthen operations on the Green Line.

It has been decided to fully deploy 21 new modern 6-coach CRRC trains exclusively on the Green Line.The 17 older trains currently operating on the Green Line will be gradually shifted to the Purple Line. Since the Purple Line experiences higher passenger density, it requires additional trains.This change will benefit passengers on both lines.

These trains feature advanced technology and are manufactured through a collaboration between China's CRRC and India's Titagarh Rail Systems, incorporating improved DTG (Distance To Go) technology.

The 33.5 km Green Line (Madavara to Silk Institute) will receive a completely new fleet, shortening waiting times at stations during peak hours.
