On Wednesday night (New Year's Eve, December 31, 2025), BMTC earned an additional ₹10 lakh in revenue from special services alone during the celebrations.

Earlier, from December 25 to 28, holiday periods had led to an estimated revenue dip of around ₹60 lakh.However, the year-end festivities on this single day played a key role in offsetting BMTC's losses.Indian Stock Markets 2026 - NSE & BSE Remain Open on Day 1!?

Like Namma Metro, BMTC buses saw tremendous response from the public.Approximately over 1 lakh additional passengers used BMTC services for New Year travel, particularly relying on buses to return home from prime hotspots like MG Road, Brigade Road, and Indiranagar.
