Singrigowda's selection for the film is itself a surprising story. When the ‘Thithi’ directors attended his elder brother's death ritual, they liked his personality and cast him as Century Gowda. He received around ₹20,000 as remuneration for the film. Later, he acted in a few more movies, though there were reports that some film teams did not provide proper respect or payment.
On the other hand, Channégowda, who played Gaddappa, was from Nodekoppalu village in Mandya district. He was suffering from age-related ailments, including a stroke years ago that severely affected his health. Issues like heart problems, breathing difficulties, and hearing impairment troubled him, and he lacked sufficient funds for treatment.
