In a major political development ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) officially joined the AIADMK-led alliance on Wednesday. The move solidifies a formidable opposition bloc aimed at unseating the ruling DMK government.
The announcement was made during a high-profile meeting on January 7, 2026, at the residence of AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) on Greenways Road, Chennai.
