Located within the premises of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham in Girinagar, Bengaluru, the Sri Karya Siddhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple is rapidly becoming a major spiritual hub. The glory of this "Karya Siddhi" (meaning 'fulfillment of work') Hanuman is immense, believed to remove obstacles and grant the righteous desires of his devotees.

What is the 'Kayi Kattuva' (Tying the Coconut) Vow?

The unique feature of this temple is the Sankalpa Puja, popularly known as the "Kayi Kattuva" ritual. It is a firm belief that if you are facing hurdles in life—be it related to marriage, employment, health, or education—following this procedure will bring results:

1. Offering the Coconut: Devotees visit the temple, make a formal resolve (Sankalpa), have a darshan of the deity, and perform puja for a coconut.

2. Circumambulation (Pradakshina): Holding the sanctified coconut, the devotee must perform a specific number of circumambulations around the temple.

3. Tying the Coconut: The coconut is then tied at a designated spot within the temple premises.

4. Mandala Puja: Generally, this vow is observed for a period of 16 days. During this time, devotees are encouraged to chant the Hanuman Chalisa and meditate on the Lord.

Purnaphala Samarpane (Completion of the Vow)

Once the desired task is accomplished (or after the completion of the vow period), it is tradition to return to the temple, untie the coconut, and offer it to the Lord as Purnaphala Samarpane.

Other Highlights of the Temple:

* Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji: This temple was established by His Holiness Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysuru.

* Guinness World Record: The temple holds a Guinness World Record for the continuous mass chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa.

* Peace and Serenity: Despite being in the heart of the busy city, the temple premises offer a deeply peaceful atmosphere, providing mental solace to visitors.
