Bengaluru: While many often criticize the auto drivers of Silicon City, one driver has captured everyone's heart through his integrity. He has set a shining example by returning an expensive mobile phone and a purse forgotten by a passenger in his auto.

Details of the Incident:

A woman originally from North India had booked an auto through Rapido to travel within the Kothanur Police Station limits. In her hurry to get down upon reaching her destination, she accidentally left her purse and an iPhone on the seat.

Police Promptness and Driver’s Response:

A short while later, the woman realized she had lost her belongings. She immediately rushed to the Kothanur Police Station to file a complaint. When the police dialed the woman’s mobile number, the auto driver answered the call and informed them that the items were safe with him.

A Flood of Appreciation:

The auto driver arrived at the station promptly and returned the iPhone and purse to the woman in the presence of the police. Touched by this act of honesty, the woman thanked him emotionally.

"Such honesty among Bengaluru's auto drivers is truly a matter of pride," remarked the police staff as they patted the driver on the back in appreciation.
