Key Highlights of the Case

Visit of Legal Experts: Noted senior advocate from Bengaluru, Rajashekar Hilliyar, is arriving at the Belthangady Court today to represent the Kshetra. Previously, veteran lawyer C.V. Nagesh and Mahesh Kaje had taken up the power of attorney (Vakalat) for the institution.

The SIT report states that the allegation of "illegal burial of bodies" in Dharmasthala is completely false and was part of a malicious propaganda campaign. It was revealed that an anonymous complainant named Chinnayya was lured with financial incentives to file this false complaint. The SIT investigation exposed that a team of six individuals—including Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, Girish Mattannavar, Sujata Bhatt, Jayanth, and Vittal Gowda—conspired to tarnish the image of Dharmasthala through the proxy complainant, Chinnayya.
