Dharwad, February 24: Demanding the immediate filling of vacant government posts, job aspirants staged a massive protest at Sri Nagar Circle in Dharwad. Expressing anger over the lack of job opportunities, the youths raised slogans and held photos of Congress leaders to show their opposition. As the situation became tense, Dharwad police made every effort to control the protesters.Arayna Women's Cotton Printed Floral Straight Kurta with Palazzo Pants and Dupatta
At the same time, the All Karnataka Students' Association (AKSA) had sought permission for today's protest, but the police rejected it. The association then approached the High Court, which directed discussions with the police and adjourned the hearing to March 3. However, in the backdrop of police granting permission to a BJP protest, many youths took to the streets without official permission and continued the demonstration.
Police stopped the protesters heading towards Jayanagar Circle right at Sri Nagar Circle. Security arrangements were tightened at the spot, and police kept a close watch to prevent any untoward incidents. The protesters continue to pressure the government to immediately fill the vacant posts.
