First Lunar Eclipse of the Year: Danger to Administration, Fear of Depression; Astrologer Prakash Ammannaya Issues Warning!

The "Ketu-shadowed" eclipse will occur on Tuesday in the Phalguni Nakshatra. This is termed a 'Grastodaya' Lunar Eclipse (an eclipse that begins before moonrise).

Udupi: The first lunar eclipse of the year will occur today (Tuesday). Renowned astrologer Prakash Ammannaya has predicted that this is not just an astronomical curiosity but will lead to several global and personal changes.

Nature and Visibility of the Eclipse:

The "Ketu-shadowed" eclipse will occur on Tuesday in the Phalguni Nakshatra. This is termed a 'Grastodaya' Lunar Eclipse (an eclipse that begins before moonrise). While it will be clearly visible in the eastern states of India, it will be partially visible in our state as well. There is an opportunity to view the eclipse during moonrise, and the 'Moksha' (conclusion) of the eclipse will occur shortly after sunset.

"Consecutive Eclipses are Signs of Disaster":

"Just as doctors advise a blood test if a fever persists, consecutive eclipses could be a sign of an impending global disaster," Ammannaya expressed with concern. He noted that as this eclipse occurs in the Leo (Simha) sign, upheavals on Earth are natural.

Problems for Administration – Damage to Government Buildings?

Due to the influence of the eclipse, rulers of various countries and states will face hardships. He predicted that problems may arise within the administrative machinery and there is a possibility of damage to government buildings.

Impact on the Mind – Warning of Depression:

According to astrology, the Moon is the 'significator of the mind' (Manokaraka). During the eclipse period, it may exert a negative influence on people's mental states.

Depression: The eclipse might cause mental depression in individuals.

Display of Ego: There is a high chance of an increase in egoistic behavior and pride.

Affected Zodiac Signs: Specifically, those belonging to the Virgo (Kanya), Capricorn (Makara), and Pisces (Meena) signs may face more afflictions. However, since a household typically consists of people from various signs, its influence will be felt slightly by everyone.

Food and Purification Rituals During the Eclipse:

Ammannaya states that rules prescribed by ancestors should not be dismissed as mere superstitions; they are vital from the perspective of our well-being.

Bathing: It is best to bathe in cold water after the eclipse ends to improve concentration.

Food: Light food can be consumed one hour after the eclipse concludes. Home-cooked food is better than street food.

Devotional Chanting: Chanting prayers and remembering the Divine during the eclipse period helps in maintaining mental peace.

"The eclipse may be occurring in other countries, but the Moon is the same for all of us. Therefore, protecting our health and mental well-being is in our own hands," he advised.
