Respect Women Artists: Actress Rakshita Prem Slams Social Media – Here’s the Details

Actress Rakshita Prem has expressed strong displeasure over people who zoom inappropriately on photos and videos of women actors during public events and post them on social media. She said that women enter the film industry to showcase their talent, not for body display, and warned that such behavior will no longer be tolerated.

Kannada film actress Rakshita Prem recently criticized the behavior of certain social media and digital media platforms. She expressed concern about the way photos and videos of women artists attending public events are being filmed and shared in an inappropriate manner on social media. Rakshita said that during public events, instead of focusing on the artists’ work and talent, some individuals zoom unnecessarily on parts of their bodies while recording videos or taking photos. Later, those clips are edited from different angles and circulated widely on social media platforms. She believes this damages the dignity and respect of women artists.

She clarified that artists join the film industry to showcase their talent and creativity, not to display their bodies.
