Iran regime change, theocracy or the family lineage?
None of the Islam countries have any formal modern system of governing. Unlike Democracy or communist system of governing bodies, these nations have adapted to family lineages and rule these countries and have been ruling generations after generations.
Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei took over the Iran regime in 1989, he officially made Iran the first Islamic republic country. Iran underwent a drastic change with imposing Sharia law, the country started moving backwards. There were revolts and attempts against Khamenei, he still could manage to hold on to power. He also started Iran Revolutionary Guards to suppress Iranians. This wing included women cops for morality policing. In recent days Iran (Khamenei) also funded terror outfits like Hutis, Hamas and Hezbollah and many other entities in Pakistan and Turkey. These changes brought in chaos in Middle East and initially it led Shia-Sunny rift, which eventually got international attention.
Israel always being the first victim of Islam extremism had to wage a long war with Iran. After 7th October attack on Jews by Hamas, Israel completely destroyed Palestinian based Hamas funded by Iran. This further triggered the rift between Iran and US-Israel. On 4 March 2026 Iran regime officially announced Ali Khamenei’s successor. Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Ali Khamenei will lead the Iran regime now.
Though Islamic Revolutionary Guard corps (IRGC) has confirmed the successor today, there are speculations they may not officially announce, because of Israel-US intervene.
US or Israel have not made any official stamens so far.

Born in 1969, second in the sibling order is the wisest choice according to the Tehran analyst Mehdi Rahamati, “Considering the present situation Mojtaba Khamenei can handle the situation and can also handle Israel-US”

From Indian point of view we will have to wait and see the power shift. As his father Ali Khamanei was known for his anti-Indian stands. Pahalgam attack was planned and organized by Hammas who were funded by senior Khamanei.
