Aggression, mob violence, agitations and social unrest is a normal feature in Pak. On Feb 28th, a group of demonstrators stormed into American consulate at Karachi, in response to Ayatollah Ali Khamanei’s killing, showing aggression to US staff the mob tried to attack. In response US troops opened fire, killing at least 22 Pak citizens.
The incident has shocked the global community as there was no response from the field marshal or the prime minister of Pak. The end of shia stalwart has shaken most of the Muslims across the globe, repercussions came from both India and Pak. Though there was no report of violence in India, there were agitations all across the country. Shias from Lucknow witnessed the protest in a calm way and marched in the black attire.
The incident has occurred when both Shehbaz Sherif and Asim Munir are closely tied up with US president Donald Trump.
The mob said to be aggressive and targeted US officials responding to Khamanai’s killing. Though the crowd was trying to escalate, firing in consulate was a rare phenomenon. Both US marine and consulate have confirmed the incident to Reuters.
Similar incident has happened in Lahore and details are yet to come out, however Pak national journal has confirmed there’s no casualty
