The Karnataka Government has announced new grant and loan schemes for the welfare of various communities. Special funding will be provided to Savita, Madivala, Jain, Buddhist, and Sikh communities for education, employment, and the establishment of service centers. Under the new schemes:
Members of the Savita community will receive a loan of ₹10 lakh at 4% interest to start salons.
Members of the Madivala community will be offered a loan of ₹5 lakh at 4% interest to set up modern laundry units.
Buddhist monks (Dhammacharis) will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹6,000.
A special grant of ₹100 crore will be allocated for the welfare of Jain, Buddhist, and Sikh communities.
Additionally, the government plans to establish educational centers and civil service centers in selected Wakf properties. These schemes are expected to provide significant support for education, employment, and social development of various communities in the state.
