The Tamil Nadu politics is been stereotypic from four decades and not much has changed, DMK or AIADMK, not much of choice for Tamil people. The national parties are not being very relevant there, both Congress and BJP are in the same political position.
But recently Vijay, an actor turned politician has made news for all wrong reasons. Vijay has become a reason of argument between DMK, the ruling party and AIADMK, the opposition.
Last week the news of Vijay’s divorce surfaced in all the channels and social platforms, initially the news did not have any political relevance. DMK started dwelling the details of divorce. According to Sellur Raju of AIADMAK, the ruling party is deliberately pushing the divorce issue to tarnish Vijay’s image. Since this is his first political battle, DMK wants to make sure he will not get a political space in Tamil Nadu.

The accusation includes the filing of case against Vijay by his wife and the reason for the divorce, Vijay’s extra martial affairs. DMK is using these issues to hamper Vijay’s election campaign. DMK is also blamed of not letting his latest movie Jana Nayagan for release.
AIADMK strongly opposed the ruling party along with Vijay’s new party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
This is being the latest change in the political arena, as Vijay’s TVK party had maintained the distance with both the good old parties. Now the change and support from AIADMK has re-shuffled, political scenarios.
But still the question remains, will the actor’s fans vote for him, accepting him as their leader?
