War Scare: Chaos for Gas Cylinders in Kalaburagi; Long Queues Amidst Scorching Heat!

The looming threat of war between the USA, Israel, and Iran has created global anxiety, and its direct impact is now being felt on the supply of domestic LPG cylinders.

KALABURAGI: The looming threat of war between the USA, Israel, and Iran has created global anxiety, and its direct impact is now being felt on the supply of domestic LPG cylinders. Scenes of people struggling to secure cylinders are being reported from Sedam town in Kalaburagi district.

Kilometer-Long Queues Outside Gas Agencies!

Hundreds of customers gathered with their empty cylinders today in front of Savitha Gas Agency in Venkateshwara Colony, Sedam. Driven by the fear that the war might lead to severe gas shortages or a massive price hike in the coming days, citizens have begun panic-buying.

Waiting in the Blistering Sun: Braving the intense heat of Kalaburagi, hundreds of customers, including the elderly and women, have been lining up their cylinders on the road since early morning.

Customers Ignore Agency Owners' Pleas:

Seeing the massive crowd, the gas agency owners appealed to the public, stating, "We will deliver cylinders to everyone’s doorstep; please do not create unnecessary chaos here." However, skeptical customers refused to leave, insisting on receiving their cylinders immediately.

What is causing the panic?

If the situation in West Asia escalates into full-scale war, there is a high probability of a rise in crude oil and LPG prices in the international market. This concern has prompted people to stockpile cylinders as a precautionary measure, leading to the current rush.

Call for District Administration’s Intervention:

Although there has been no official disruption in the LPG supply so far, false rumors and war-related fears have left the public distressed. Citizens are now urging the district administration to intervene and provide clarity regarding the supply and stock situation to curb the panic.
