Chitradurga: A horrific incident shook the 'Fort City' of Chitradurga on Sunday. A man lost his life after being attacked with a machete while attempting to settle a domestic dispute at the city's Buddha Circle.

Background of the Incident

The victim has been identified as Tajpeer (42), a local resident. According to reports, the accused, Sadique Ulla, was engaged in a heated argument with his wife. Tajpeer intervened in an attempt to pacify the couple and resolve the conflict. Enraged by this interference, Sadique Ulla launched a sudden and brutal attack on Tajpeer with a machete.

Death While En Route to Hospital

Tajpeer sustained grievous injuries in the attack and was left lying in a pool of blood. Although locals immediately rushed him to the hospital, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Video Goes Viral

The altercation between Sadique Ulla and Tajpeer, including the moments of the assault, was captured on mobile cameras. The footage has since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread fear and outrage among the public as the crime took place in a busy public square.

Police Action

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Badavane Police rushed to the spot and took the accused, Sadique Ulla, into custody. A case has been registered at the Badavane Police Station, and further investigation is currently underway.
