Dubai: The clouds of war are darkening over the Middle East as a major drone attack targeted the Dubai International Airport today. A drone launched by Iran struck a fuel tank near the airport, causing a massive fire. As a precautionary measure, all airport operations have been temporarily suspended.
Attack on Fuel Tank
According to the Dubai Media Office, a drone directly collided with a fuel tank located near the airport. Due to the impact, the fuel tank exploded, and flames quickly spread across the area. Upon receiving the information, Dubai Civil Defense teams rushed to the spot and carried out fire-extinguishing operations. The fire has since been brought under control, and fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
Airport Grinds to a Halt, Roads Closed
In the wake of the drone attack, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority has suspended all operations at the airport. For security reasons, Dubai Police have closed the roads and the airport tunnel leading to the premises.
