BJP, being the main Opposition Party in West Bengal, is all set to take over the power in Bengal with issues like extreme corruption of TMC, which is in the power for 15 years now. Though BJP does not have any popular local face in Bengal, the party is fighting the polls with PM’s popularity. Anti-incumbency is an advantage BJP has over TMC’s government and the deletion of votes from the voter’s list can be a benefit for BJP.

In comparison with Assam, BJP came to power in Assam with 60 seats out 126 seats in 2016, which rose to 64 in 2021.

Assembly Elections in Assam, Keralam and Puducherry will be held on the single day on April 9th, Tamil Nadu on April 23rd. In West Bengal the elections will be held on two phases on April 23rd and 29th.  The counting is scheduled on May, 4, the EC announced it on Sunday.

Anti-incumbency, law-less government of TMC, Appeasement politics and people’s disconnect with Mamata Banerjee can prove boon to the BJP’s campaign.
