The official notification for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026 has been released, inviting applications to fill a total of 1,358 Medical Officer vacancies.
Vacancy Breakdown and Departments:
Central Health Service (CHS): General Duty Medical Officers (Sub-cadre) – 864 posts
Indian Railways: Assistant Divisional Medical Officers (ADMO) – 450 posts
New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC): General Duty Medical Officers – 14 posts
Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD): General Duty Medical Officer Grade-II – 30 posts
Other central government health organizations may also have included positions.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognized university. Final-year MBBS students (appearing for exams) and those awaiting internship completion are also eligible to apply provisionally.
