Bagalkot: Former MLA Veeranna Charantimath officially filed his nomination today as the BJP candidate for the Bagalkot Assembly constituency by-election, which has piqued significant interest in the district's political circles.

Accompanied by his wife, Rajeshwari Charantimath, Veeranna Charantimath visited the Tehsildar's office and submitted his papers to the Election Officer, Santosh Jagalasar. Today’s submission was a symbolic filing, marking the formal commencement of his election process.

Although the nomination was filed symbolically today, Charantimath has decided to file another set of nomination papers on June 23 (Monday).
