Vijayapura: As the selection process for Congress candidates for the upcoming Bagalkot and Davanagere assembly by-elections gains momentum, Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil has clarified that the decision of the party high command will be final.

Every Stakeholder Has the Right to Seek a Ticket

Responding to questions regarding ticket distribution within the Congress party, the Minister said, "In a democratic system and within the framework of our party, everyone has the right to seek a ticket. Members of every religion and every caste have the authority to aspire for representation. There is nothing wrong with that."

Commitment to High Command’s Decision

Addressing the finalization of candidates, Patil noted, "The final call on who should be awarded the ticket will be taken after deliberations between the party high command, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and the KPCC President. Once the high command announces a candidate, all party leaders and workers will stand united and support them."

Victory for Congress in Both Constituencies

Predicting the outcome of the by-elections, the Minister expressed high confidence. "There is a strong wave of public support for the Congress party in both Bagalkot and Davanagere. Regardless of who the candidate is, our party is set to achieve a resounding victory," he stated.
