21st March, Srinagar, NIA (National Investigative Agency) has announced the new search for the terror linked bases and the raids are underway to dismantle terrorism and its ecosystem in Kashmir.
NIA carried out a series of coordinated searches in many locations of the State. Handwara in North Kashmir and Kulgam in the South.
Sources revealed that in Handwara, NIA raided a businessman in the Guloora area. Probing all the documents and electronic devises, searching the premises and suspecting to be involved in terror acts. The investigation is still going on and no concrete proof established so far.
There were similar raids by NIA teams in several locations in Kulgam District, intending to the broader crackdown on terror networks and their supporting local sleeping cells.
NIA has significantly expanded in the region from 2017. Focussing on border activities, separatism, and to control foreign funding which was coming through Hawala to the locals. The hybrid models of terrorism designed by Islamabad was exposed and eradicated by NIA in the year 2020.

It can also be noted that consistent large-scale and multi-district searches have effectively curtailed the violence and radical and terror network.
