Ramanagara: JDS Youth Wing State President Nikhil Kumaraswamy launched a scathing attack against the state government on Saturday in Chikkegowdanadoddi village, Ramanagara, addressing current political developments, by-elections, and the Mekedatu project.
₹10 Crore Aid to Kerala: 'State Funds Used to Save Chair'
Questioning the state government's decision to grant ₹10 crore in aid to Kerala’s landslide victims, Nikhil asked, "Is Siddaramaiah the Chief Minister of Karnataka or Kerala?"
"When North Karnataka faced heavy rains and farmers were in tears, Siddaramaiah did not hear their cries. If a tragedy occurs in Kerala, their CM should announce relief. However, our Chief Minister is giving away the money of the people of Karnataka just to gain the confidence of his High Command and secure his own position," he criticized.
HDK to Participate in By-election Campaigning
Speaking about the upcoming by-elections in two constituencies of the state, he said, "JDS leaders actively participated during the filing of nominations. Currently, the Parliament session is ongoing in Delhi, which is why H.D. Kumaraswamy is occupied there. As soon as the session concludes, he will hit the ground for the by-election campaign."
Mekedatu Project: 'Let DK Shi Get Stalin's Consent First'
Regarding the central government’s clearance for the Mekedatu project, Nikhil stated, "H.D. Deve Gowda pleaded in the House to breathe life back into the stalled Yettinahole project. Respecting his seniority, the central leaders provided the clearance. Both HDD and HDK are committed to getting approval for the Mekedatu project as well. However, before that, let DCM D.K. Shivakumar bring an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from Tamil Nadu CM Stalin. The very next day, our leaders will fight to secure the Center's approval."
