A tragic road accident that occurred early this morning in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh has shocked the entire country.

Amaravati: A tragic road accident that occurred early this morning in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh has shocked the entire country. Thirteen passengers met a painful end following a head-on collision between a private bus and a tipper truck.

Incident Details: Bus Turns Into a Ball of Fire

A private bus traveling from Nirmal in Telangana to Nellore in Andhra Pradesh collided violently with a tipper truck coming from the opposite direction as it approached Rayavaram near Markapuram.

Due to the impact of the collision, fire broke out instantly in both vehicles.

Ten people were charred to death on the spot as they were caught in the flames.

Among those admitted to the hospital with serious injuries, three succumbed to death as treatment failed, bringing the total death toll to 13.

CM Chandrababu Naidu Expresses Shock

Upon hearing the news of the accident, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep condolences. He has instructed officials to provide the best possible medical treatment to the injured immediately. Furthermore, he has ordered a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and submit a report.

Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramaprasad Reddy stated, "This tragedy occurred at 6:00 AM. We will implement strict safety measures in the coming days to prevent such fire accidents."

Compensation Announced by PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over this horrific tragedy. Announcing financial assistance to the families of the deceased, he declared:

₹2 lakh compensation for the families of each deceased person.

₹50,000 financial aid for each of the injured.

Bus Accident in Chikkaballapur: One Dead

In a separate incident, another bus accident occurred near Agalagurki in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka.

A Sugama Travels bus, traveling from Mysuru to Mantralayam via Bengaluru, collided with a truck.

One passenger died on the spot in this incident, while 10 others, including the cleaner, were injured.

The front portion of the bus was completely crushed, and the injured have been admitted to the Chikkaballapur District Hospital.
