Kalaburagi: A dehumanizing incident has occurred on the outskirts of Balurgi village in Afzalpur taluk of the district. A woman, who was brought in a car, was brutally murdered by having her throat slit with a sickle in a field by the roadside. The horrific scene was captured on the mobile phones of commuters and has since gone viral on social media.

Incident Details: Brutal Murder in Full Public View

The accused, identified as Akshay Jadhav, a native of Baramati in Maharashtra, committed this act after bringing his wife, Shaila (35), in a car. The accused stopped the vehicle in a field next to the main road of Balurgi village and slit his wife's throat while onlookers watched in shock.

Not stopping there, he reportedly ran the car over her body to ensure she was dead before making his escape. It is alleged that four to five other individuals were present in the car with Akshay.

Live Murder Captured on Mobile Phones

Commuters traveling on the road were stunned to witness this gruesome killing. While some captured the scene on their mobile phones, unfortunately, no one rushed to the woman's aid, showing a tragic lack of humanity. Despite people watching, the accused brazenly committed the murder and fled the spot.

Accused Arrested Within an Hour

Immediately after the incident, Afzalpur police rushed to the spot. Recognizing the gravity of the case, the police launched a swift operation and took the husband, Akshay Jadhav, and other suspects into custody within just one hour of the murder. The police are currently interrogating the accused, and the exact motive behind the killing is yet to be determined through the investigation.

The case has been registered under the jurisdiction of the Afzalpur Police Station.
