A monk who walked Bengal’s pavements, a new hope, a new horizon

Mumbai, Bihar, Haryana and Delhi, the BJP tentacles expanded with rapid pace and the Delhi election was a major setback not only for Kajriwal, but it in a way redefined Indian Politics. Most imperatively it submerged the well-established national parties. Election mechanism underwent a significant transformation, adding to this Election Commission has played major role by conducting SIT in the upcoming WB election.

The West Bengal election has become a battlefield for both TMC and BJP. Mamata Banerjee has certainly taken a warpath accusing BJP on every issue possible.

Utpal Maharaj, a high profile and controversial candidate of BJP

BJP is fielding its candidate as Utpal Maharaj from the constituency, Kaliaganj, Utar Dinajpur district.

Utpal Maharaj originates from Balurghat and he joined Bharat Sevashrama Sangha in 2000,

he came to politics only to save Hindus of WB. The saffron stalwart claims he would bring an end to the appeasement, often wonders why Hindus have to take permission from the law to celebrate their festivities.

On March 21st, 2026, The Bharat Sevashram Sangha expelled him as the religious group being non-political. The Sangha would stay away from politics; however, Utpal Maharaj claims he resigned from the Sangha on March 17th.

Despite having come out of the organization, he will continue his journey as a monk, a political Hindu monk to be more precise.

The BJP is right in the time, intending to use his already popular image to consolidate Hindu votes.

His agendas are very clear, restoration of law, which is a mess under TMC, anti-appeasement policies, saving Hindu traditions. Eviction of Bangladeshis and Mamata Banerjee and her TMC. His humble background obviously promises corruption-free government unlike Mamata Banerjee.
