Bagalkot: The campaign for the highly anticipated Bagalkot assembly constituency bye-election has reached its boiling point. Addressing a massive gathering during a campaign at Teggi Layout in Vidyagiri, BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra launched a scathing attack against the Congress government and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Veeranna Charantimath’s Massive Victory is Certain

Pitching for the BJP candidate Veeranna Charantimath, Vijayendra praised his clean track record and stature. "Veeranna Charantimath is a highly respected and gentleman politician. There are absolutely no black marks on him. It is 100% certain that he will win this election by a massive margin," Vijayendra claimed confidently.

CM Playing Divide-and-Rule Like the British: Vijayendra

Accusing the Congress government of abusing state machinery and power to win the bye-election, Vijayendra fired directly at the CM. "For this bye-election, the government has called in not just the Chief Minister, but a massive lineup of 15 cabinet ministers to campaign. They are strategically bringing ministers based on different castes just to divide people. If there is any Chief Minister in this country following the British-style 'divide-and-rule' policy, it is CM Siddaramaiah," he charged.

Congress Threatening Public in the Name of Guarantees!

Vijayendra also made serious allegations regarding voter coercion by Congress leaders. "People are being openly threatened that if they do not vote for the Congress party in this bye-election, the popular guarantee schemes will be stopped," he alleged.

He concluded by saying that the smart voters of Bagalkot will not fall prey to such blatant threats or caste-based politics and will firmly support the BJP for the sake of development.
