As per NHAI guidelines, toll rates are revised annually on April 1. Accordingly, the toll has been increased this year by ₹5 to ₹25 depending on the type of vehicle.

Ramanagara: If you are a frequent commuter on the Bengaluru-Mysuru 10-lane expressway, get ready to shell out more. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued an order increasing the toll rates on the expressway, effective from today (April 1).

As per NHAI guidelines, toll rates are revised annually on April 1. Accordingly, the toll has been increased this year by ₹5 to ₹25 depending on the type of vehicle.

One-Way Travel Now Costs ₹355!

Toll is collected at two places along the 118-km stretch between Bengaluru and Mysuru. The revised rates have come into effect from today at the Kanaminaike plaza in Ramanagara district and the Ganangur plaza in Mandya district. Previously, a one-way trip from Bengaluru to Mysuru cost a total of ₹345 in tolls. Starting today, that amount has risen to ₹355.

The above rates are for a single journey only. Standard discounts for return journeys on the same day and monthly passes will continue as per the rules. Coming at a time when the general public is already feeling the pinch of rising prices of essential commodities, this move by the highway authority has added an extra financial burden on daily commuters and transport companies.
