NewDelhi: Amid inflation and ongoing global events, oil marketing companies have dealt another major blow to the country's citizens. A massive hike has been announced in the prices of premium petrol, commercial LPG cylinders, and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), burning a deeper hole in the pockets of the general public and businesses alike.

Here are the complete details of today's revised rates for various fuels:

Premium Petrol Hits ₹160 Per Liter!

Premium petrol, which is already more expensive than regular fuel, has seen a steep hike of ₹11.

The price, which previously stood at ₹149 per liter, has now reached ₹160. This sudden jump has caused widespread concern among vehicle owners.

Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Up by ₹208!

Commercial LPG cylinders used heavily by restaurants, hotels, and small businesses have become significantly more expensive. In a single day, the price of a commercial cylinder has shot up by ₹208. Ever since the onset of the global war, commercial cylinder prices have surged by a massive ₹300 in total. This poses a severe financial burden on the hospitality sector and small-scale industries.

Aviation Fuel Soars Too: Slight Relief for Domestic Airlines

Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), the fuel used to power aircraft, has also witnessed a record-breaking surge. In the international sector, the price of aviation fuel has climbed to ₹2.07 lakh per kg. This price increase is being implemented in a phased manner after discussions with the Ministry of Civil Aviation. However, to avoid burdening domestic airlines too heavily, the hike for domestic flights has been capped at just 25%, fixing the rate at ₹1.04 lakh per kg.

Domestic Aviation Fuel Rates in Key Cities (Per kg):

Kolkata and Chennai: ₹1.09 lakh

Mumbai: ₹98,000

These continuous spikes in fuel rates are expected to drive up transportation costs and the prices of food in restaurants in the coming days.
