Koppal: In a heart-warming gesture, a petrol bunk owner in Koppal has set an inspiring example for the entire district by distributing free buttermilk daily to quench the thirst of the public struggling under the severe summer heat. Srinivas Gupta, the owner of the petrol bunk and the former chairman of the Koppal Urban Development Authority (KUDA), is the man behind this noble and compassionate initiative.
Free Buttermilk for Everyone, Not Just Bunk Customers!
Usually, such gestures are limited to customers or aimed at business promotion. However, Srinivas Gupta is distributing buttermilk to every passerby without any discrimination.
100 Liters of Buttermilk Daily: Around 80 to 100 liters of buttermilk are being used every day to quench the thirst of the public.
Special Timings: This buttermilk distribution takes place continuously from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM when the sun is directly overhead and the summer heat is at its peak.
Dedicated Staff Appointed: To ensure that the fuel station's daily operations are not disrupted and the public receives the buttermilk systematically, the owner has appointed a dedicated staff member specifically for this task!
A Free Service in Times When it Costs Rs 25!
In this day and age, a small glass of buttermilk costs at least Rs 25 in hotels or shops. Even in such inflationary times, the people of Koppal are wholeheartedly thanking Srinivas Gupta for quenching their thirst and bringing them relief without expecting a single paisa in return.
Gupta, who previously held office as the chairman of the Urban Development Authority, has shown through this small service that one does not need to be in power to respond to the struggles of common people.
