Acting on precise intelligence, the police raided the vehicle, rescued more than $18$ cattle packed inside the container, and seized the truck.

Mangaluru: The Kadaba police have successfully intercepted and busted a major illegal cattle smuggling network that was transporting cows from Hassan to Kerala in an extremely cruel and unlawful manner in a container truck. The operation took place at Kanvare in Noojibalthila village of Kadaba taluk. Acting on precise intelligence, the police raided the vehicle, rescued more than $18$ cattle packed inside the container, and seized the truck.

Lightning Raid by Police Based on Confirmed Tip-Off

The police received specific information that cattle were being illegally transported in a container vehicle from Hassan towards Kerala. Acting swiftly on this lead, a police team led by Kadaba Police Station Sub-Inspector Jamburaj Mahajan laid a trap near Kanvare in Noojibalthila. When they intercepted and inspected the suspicious container truck, they found more than 18 cattle stuffed inside in a completely inhumane manner.

One Suspect Arrested; Another Flees the Scene

As soon as the police stopped the vehicle, two suspects inside the truck attempted to escape. However, the police chased them down and managed to apprehend one.

* Arrested Accused: The arrested individual has been identified as Akram Pasha, a native of Hosur.

* Absconding Accused: The other suspect in the truck managed to flee under the cover of darkness. The police have launched an intense manhunt to track him down.

The Kadaba police have registered a case regarding the illegal transportation of cattle under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Investigations are actively underway to uncover the wider network behind this operation.
