Ramanagara: A fight that broke out between two drivers over mini bus duty has ended in a murder in Ramanagara. The driver, who was severely assaulted after his bus was intercepted, breathed his last today in the hospital after failing to respond to treatment. The victim has been identified as Avinash (27), a native of Channapatna. Jeevan, Shivarudra, and Chandan are the accused who committed this heinous act.
Bus Intercepted and Attacked Over Duty Dispute!
Both the deceased, Avinash, and the accused, Jeevan, worked as drivers for a mini bus belonging to Durgamba Travels.
Shift Duties on the Same Bus: The duo used to drive the same bus on different shifts (shift-wise). However, for the past few days, minor arguments had been breaking out between them over their duty schedules.
Brutal Assault with Clubs: Harboring this grudge, Jeevan, along with his friends Shivarudra and Chandan, intercepted the mini bus driven by Avinash near Chakkaredoddi village in Ramanagara taluk on March 30. The trio then brutally assaulted Avinash with wooden clubs and fled the scene.
Act Captured on Dash Cam; Three Arrested
Avinash, who was suffering from severe bleeding and critical injuries, was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. However, he passed away in the hospital today without responding to the treatment. The entire scene of the accused intercepting the bus and cruelly assaulting Avinash was captured with complete clarity on the bus's dash camera (Dash Cam). Based on this crucial video evidence, the police launched an operation and successfully arrested all three accused, including Jeevan. A case has been registered at the Ramanagara Rural Police Station, and the police are carrying out further investigations.
