"Karnataka’s Economy Is Better Than the Centre's": CM Siddaramaiah Slams BJP Over Debt Allegations

Expressing joy over the fantastic public response during the election campaign, the CM expressed confidence that Congress would secure a resounding victory in both the Davanagere and Bagalkote constituencies.

Bagalkote: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is currently busy campaigning in Davanagere and Bagalkote districts, has launched a fierce attack against the false propaganda of BJP leaders. Speaking at a press conference in Bagalkote, he detailed the financial discipline of the Congress government and the success of the guarantee schemes using hard data.

Congress Is the Only Party That Kept Its Word!

Expressing joy over the fantastic public response during the election campaign, the CM expressed confidence that Congress would secure a resounding victory in both the Davanagere and Bagalkote constituencies.

"The guarantee schemes we have implemented are not for just one specific community. They have been implemented for all the poor across caste, religion, and language barriers. There is a rule in the budget that our debt should not exceed 25% of our GDP. Our state's debt stands at just 24.94%. We have never crossed the debt limit. Yet, BJP leaders are spreading blatant lies that Siddaramaiah has put the state in massive debt," the CM lashed out.

Our Economy Is Better Than the Central Government’s!

Slamming the Central Government, CM Siddaramaiah stated that Karnataka's economy is in a much better state than the Centre's.

GDP Rate: While the Central Government's GDP stands at 7.14%, the Karnataka Government's GDP is at 8.1%.

The Debt Sheet: The Central Government has amassed a total debt of 218 lakh crore. Out of this, a whopping 165 lakh crore debt was incurred just during PM Modi's tenure. Despite this, BJP leaders are telling lies and misleading the people, the CM remarked.

Anyone's Wife Can Travel in the Bus for Free!

Accusing the previous BJP government of giving nothing but false promises during its tenure, he asked, "During our 2013-18 term, we had fulfilled 158 out of the 165 promises we made. But the BJP, which made 600 promises in 2018, hasn't even completed 10% of that work. With what face do they speak in front of the people?" Furthermore, expressing displeasure over BJP leaders misinterpreting the Shakti scheme, the CM stated bluntly, "Around 3.5 crore women are traveling for free on buses. Anyone's wife can travel for free on the bus."

Politics of Hate Out of Fear of Defeat!

The BJP has now developed a fear of defeat, and that is why they are indulging in hate politics. Politics that involves crushing Muslims with bulldozers and creating rifts between religions is not good. We never target any individual; we put our work in front of the people, CM Siddaramaiah clarified during his press conference.
